Co-working spaces, no matter where they’re located in the world, are only as good as their members. We know how important it is to bring people together and share their awesomeness. That’s why we like to do these Get to Know Our Members posts. Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenny Bonus, a certified public accountant here in Butler, PA and owner of Bonus Accounting.
What is your occupation?
CPA, Certified Public Accountant in Butler
What has been the most rewarding aspect of your work?
I thoroughly enjoy being able to provide my clients with relief when it comes to the complexities of taxes or bookkeeping. I can visually see my clients' at peace after meeting with me and it's very satisfying to have such a positive impact on people.
What is the biggest challenge that you have faced in business and how did you overcome it?
I think the biggest challenge was building my business from scratch and originally having no clients or income coming in. Ultimately I was able to build my business through networking, community involvement, and building relationships. I learned early on that it was important to give without the expectation of receiving and the universe will take care of you.
What has been your favorite part about working at ConnectWork on Main?
I always enjoyed the genuine relationships that I've made through ConnectWork on Main. Additionally, when I was just getting started in business it was a way to have a professional workspace that allowed for great collaboration.
What inspires you?
I was very inspired by the book ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad'. I typically recommend it to anyone I know and feel like it's a great read that will then lead to other motivational books.
What do you do in your spare/free/extra time?
I enjoy being with my wife Rosie and two sons Finnegan and Oliver. I've always enjoyed traveling and I would love to put my passport to use in the coming years.
