We had a chance to sit down with Chelynne and ask the classic get to know you questions. You can check out her answers below.
What is your occupation?
Digital Marketing Consultant
What made you want to be a Digital Marketing Consultant get involved in this line of work?
I have always been an early adopter of digital and social marketing platforms. Being able to utilize them for work has always been my dream job.
What has been the most rewarding aspect of your work?
Witnessing customer engagement on my clients' social media accounts is very rewarding. Of course, a “follow” or “like” from an industry leader is pretty cool, too.
What is the biggest challenge that you have faced in business and how did you overcome it?
I think my biggest challenge was just deciding to put myself out there as a small business owner. I started out slowly by word of mouth. I made an announcement about owning a business while doing a food donation drive.
What business tips would you like to share with others?
Find your tribe! It is so helpful to have a few trusted business friends that you can bounce ideas off of and troubleshoot solutions with.
What has been your favorite part about working at ConnectWork on Main?
The flexibility is awesome! I love that I can come and go as needed. Sometimes having a change of scenery can really help me focus.
What inspires you?
There is a line from the song Head Rolls Off by Frightened Rabbit that inspires me. “While I'm alive, I'll make tiny changes to earth.”
What do you do in your spare/free/extra time?
I work part-time at Recon Brewing. I am a tarot reader. I also volunteer for the GFWC Junior Women's Club of Butler and Penn State Extension Butler County.
In addition to all the amazing things she has done in the local community, she also created the signature cocktail for ConnectWork on Main. You can hear more about her process around that below. We love that Chelynne is part of the cowork! We want to meet you too 😜
How people think and teaching moments
We all have ‘teaching moments' and it's important to share them with others. Whether it's understanding how people think in different contexts or learning about your own biases, these teaching moments can help us grow as professionals.
In today's fast-paced world of social media engagement and marketing automation tools, we often forget that there are still some lessons to be learned from the past – even if they were less than perfect. Chelynne offers some epic teaching moments in her work. We wanted to showcase two instances of how Chelynne shares and teaches. Check out the videos below to get a feel for how Chelynne works.
About the ingredients
We love the way Chelynne explains the choices behind the ingredients and the way she shares her knowledge of whiskey, bourbon, and drink making.
Inspiration behind the drink and name
Chelynne put a lot of thought into the culture of the CoWork and how that could be captured in the Halloway Old Fashioned. Check out the video to hear more about it and get a feel for how Chelynne thinks about content and creating strategies that connect.
