What is your occupation?

Housekeeper, Cleaning Ninja

What made you want to get involved in this line of work?

Out of geographic convenience, I began working for a large cleaning service. Five years and thousands of cleanings later, I knew this was how I wanted to help people and put my mark on this planet. Whether it is helping the elderly to live more independently or letting that new mom take some much-needed rest, I find cleaning for others very fulfilling. However, I did not enjoy the politics of working for a large, cold company. So, I decided to start Partners in August of 2022 and I haven't looked back since.

What has been the most rewarding aspect of your work as a housekeeper in Butler?

Seeing firsthand how a fresh, tidy space can improve one's mental and physical health. In many cases, I visit customer's homes more than their own families do. It is difficult not to form a connection and friendship with them.

What is the biggest challenge that you have faced in business as a housekeeper in Butler and how did you overcome it?

Without a doubt, the most difficult part has been pricing my work. After meeting and speaking with others at the cowork, I learned that I was not experiencing a unique struggle. The best advice I received was to price-check my competitors, and based on my experience, I should fall somewhere in the middle.

What business tips would you like to share with others?

If your goal is to build and remain a company of one like I did, make sure to build a behind-the-scenes support team. I found my accountant, advisor team, and marketing expert just from attending events at the cowork.

What has been your favorite part about working at ConnectWork on Main?

It is a safe, distraction-free place to handle all of my administrative tasks.

What inspires you?

“To be successful, you don't have to do extraordinary things. Just do ordinary things extraordinarily well.” John Rohn

What do you do in your spare/free/extra time?

Propagating house plants, momming my small human, and napping.
